Uh... well, actually, breeding works according to egg groups (with the exception of Ditto, who breeds with anything, and Legendaries, who don't breed at all), though Pokemon of the same species are always of the same egg group, so if that's how you're going about it, you shouldn't have any trouble. :|a
It does take a some time though, depending on how well the two Pokemon like each other, and the Daycare Man will tell you if the two of them won't breed at all, but the only time they won't breed is, again, if they're not in the same egg group or if they're the same gender.
Maybe you could give some more details about what you're trying to breed and how you're going about it?
I put nindorina and nindorino into that center, but no egg...And in my version it says that the pokemon somtimes "find" eggs and "take" them to the center, that´s strange,because I thought they "make babys" X-D otherwise it doesn´t make much sense to me.
Is there a way to make special pokemons, like plant/toxic and plant/fly = plant/toxic/fly ?
Or what does the result depend on ?
Hm... Nidorina and Nidorino should be able to breed. >:|a
The only thing I can think of is like... well, "baby" Pokemon can't breed, but even if they're not fully-evolved, I wouldn't consider Nidorino or Nidorina "babies."
What version are you playing? o.o
My games have always said that the couple that runs the daycare center "find" the eggs, not the Pokemon.
I think they just say it that way because they don't want to straight out say "THE POKEMON ARE HAVING SEEEEEEX."
What hatches from the egg is the same species as the Mother, except in it's first stage of evolution or baby form. The two exceptions to this rule are:
-When breeding with Ditto, the egg will be the same species as the Pokemon that wasn't Ditto.
-When breeding anything from the Nido family, it will be a Nidoran Male. [That is to say, it's impossible to hatch a Nidoran Female. -- Yeah, it doesn't make sense to anyone else either.]
However, the baby will often inherit attacks from the Father.
Sadly, no, we can't crossbreed super awesome custom Pokemon. ;;
Maybe the man doesn´t know where "eggs" come from :-)despite of his age ...
It´s soulesilver , the version with the pokewalker.
Nidorino and Nidorina are both on the No Eggs
group and cannot breed - you'll have to use Nidoran for that. Additionally, when you breed pokemon, your egg will always hatch into the species of the mother, or if you used a pokemon and ditto, whichever species the non-ditto pokemon is. Here is the breeding guide on Serebii
, though it isn't the most accurate guide (if you use one pokemon that you caught and a pokemon that was traded to you for breeding, they will breed faster than two of your pokemon or two traded pokemon, while the guide makes it sound otherwise).
Unrelated to breeding in-game, the Pokemon series (game, anime, manga) never actually say eggs are made by pokemon mating :) It has always been a mystery, which is why the Daycare Man is surprised to find eggs.
Nidorino and Nidorina never struck me as Pokemon that shouldn't be able to breed, since Nidorans and Nidoking and
Nidoqueen can. :|a
/learned something today
Edit: /reread that list

XD yeah, I always blame it on Nidorina having too much testosterone or some nonsense like that. (Also, you can breed nidoran female - it's 50% chance when breeding from a nidoran female mother, but some games tend to be biased towards one gender/nature/ability due to the trainer's secret ID. This is why some people have way more luck catching wild shinies on accident than others.)
Maybe Nidorina and Nidoqueen belong to a procreational Amazon race or something. :|a
Hm~ I'm going to have to try this breeding Nidoran female business. I was convinced it was impossible. ;3;
SORRY OP. LISTEN TO THIS PERSON INSTEAD. THEY ARE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE THAN I.
I think the daycare man isn´t very clever, then...X-D At the beginning of the game, you get an egg and hatch a pokemon. Where else would it come from ? chicken > egg> baby chicken hatches from an egg...
XD; well, I imagine life in the Pokemon universe is a bit more confusing. For example, say your male Blaziken hands the daycare man an egg, and a Girafarig hatches out of it! Chicken > Egg > Baby Giraffe??? Plus this is a game intended for 10 year olds, who don't need to understand the concept of conception ;3
so we shouldn´t play it at all :-D
Yes, we should all stop playing Pokemon because it's a children's game and we are adults.
I still like Super Mario Games and Sonic...although I ´m no longer 10 or 12 years old.But should we try Counterstrike instead ?, it´s for 18 and up...
